Help Us Make an Impact

We want to bring about a world where people are healed, restored, redeemed and set free. We do this with the dedication, commitment, and partnership of an incredible team of people (our Cornerstone Christian Counseling team and office staff) who we are so grateful to also call friends.

If you're passionate about helping people to freely and abundantly live the life that Jesus died to give them (John 10:10) then Cornerstone Christian Counseling might be the perfect fit for your counseling career!

Our Mission
Our Vision
Our Values
Our Culture

Cornerstone exists to help individuals, couples, and families heal, grow, and thrive.

It can be easy to lose sight of why you do the things you do. You wake up, start your day, and go to work. You see clients, answer phone calls, reply to emails, and other daily tasks. Some days you engage with co-workers a lot; sometimes you hardly see or speak to anyone else. Sometimes you’re fired up and excited about changing lives each day, and sometimes, well, work just feels like…work.

Cornerstone’s core verse is John 10:10, where Jesus is talking about how the “thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. (But) I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

We want to help people heal from past hurts and traumas. We want to help restore marriages. We want to help people find hope for their future. We want kids to reclaim their childhoods and be, well, kids. We want families to stay together and to heal relational ruptures. We don’t want anxiety or depression or habits or addictions to run people’s lives.

We want abundant life for people.

That’s why we do what we do. That’s why we show up each day. Because we believe that when Jesus said his aim was to give people abundant life, he meant it. And we’re just crazy enough to believe that he can use us to help bring that to fruition in people’s lives, families and marriages.

We will help bring about a world where people are healed, restored, redeemed, and set free

When interviewing for a position here, you might ask, “I’m excited to be a part of Cornerstone, but I’m wondering what you are hoping to accomplish as an organization?”

If we simply replied with, “our vision is to help bring about a world where people are healed, restored, redeemed and set free,” hopefully in the moment your eyes would fill with wonder and you’d feel inspired to the core of your being, signing up to work with us on the spot.

But a month, two months, or a year later, you might be wondering how we’re actually changing the world.

Progress is incremental. People who often hit their big goal do so by hitting small, consistent goals along the way. The same is true for us as an organization.

Our mission is to help people heal, grow, and thrive, and each one of us, no matter the role, shows up to help people experience this in any myriad of ways. We answer a phone call or respond to an email, we sit with a client in their grief, or their hurt, or their anger. Sometimes the process is painfully slow going, but we believe in a long obedience in the same direction.

And slowly, the momentum builds. People do heal. They do grow. They do thrive.

Through one life, one marriage, one child, one adolescent, one adult at a time, we make small impressions in the world. While we will never, on this side of heaven, accomplish our vision in full, we will continue forward, honored to be a part of God’s good plan to bring life to the full to his kids.

Our Values define how we engage with each other and our clients

We’ve spent a lot of time paring down everything we care about into 4 core values, coming up with a fun acrostic to help remember them in the process:

S – Second Mile Service

We strive for excellence, going above and beyond what’s expected of us.

L – Life To The Full

We believe God redemptively uses both our joys and struggles to help us experience the abundant life Jesus died to give us.

A – Authenticity

We “come as we are,” while honoring the work God is doing in each of our lives with humility and vulnerability, believing in His transformative power.

B – Biblically Sound and Clinically Excellent

We value and employ the wisdom of God’s Word and His general revelation through research and evidence based practices.

Get it? SLAB? Like a slab of rock? And you work at Cornerstone? Yup. We’re clever like that.

At Cornerstone, values aren’t just words – they define how we engage with each other and with our clients.

If our mission reminds us and informs the world what we aim to do day in and day out (help people heal, grow, and thrive) and our vision reminds us and informs the world of where we’re headed (we will help bring about a world where people are healed, restored, redeemed and set free), then our values remind us of how we get there without losing the heart behind who we are as things ebb and flow and grow and change in our organization over time.

We’re passionate about helping people. Not only our clients, but our team as well.

We take pride in creating a work environment that is fun, challenging, rewarding and inspiring for everyone involved, no matter the role.

We are a diverse group of people with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, strengths, and even weaknesses. We deeply support each other and share a sense of faith-fueled purpose to create a world where people are healed, restored, redeemed, and set free.

We have full team meetings each week (usually virtual, but sometimes in person) where we come together to focus on what’s important; God, our clients, our skills, and our relationships. We allow ourselves to be vulnerable in front of each other (we encourage it!) and we are the first to admit that none of us are perfect.

Although we consider ourselves to be a tight-knit group of clinically excellent Christian counselors and unbelievably skilled administrative superheroes and marketing experts, we love meeting new people and look forward to welcoming you with open arms!

Amana Cornerstone Christian Counseling

Amanda Young

Operations coordinator

Amanda and her husband Craig, live in Littleton, CO with their kids and 2 dogs.  She graduated from Metro with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology.

Before joining the awesome team at Cornerstone, she worked for a non-profit doing case management for at-risk youth and their families.

She wears many hats, but her favorite ones are wife and mom. Having two beautiful daughters with chronic health conditions has given her a heart of empathy for others, and has given her opportunities to trust God in a world that is full of uncertainties.

She runs on Jesus, prayer, and coffee... lots of coffee!  In her spare time, she loves to listen to worship music, play cards and board games with her family, camp in the mountains, try out new recipes she finds on Pinterest, and fellowship around the firepit with family and friends (while making s'mores of course!)

Angie Taylor headshot cornerstone christian counseling co-founder

Angie Taylor

Co-Founder, COO

Angie is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Cornerstone Christian Counseling. She also happens to be married to Sean, Cornerstone’s Founder and Director, and they’ve been running the business together since they first opened their doors in 2009.

Angie wears many hats at Cornerstone, but her biggest joy is found in doing her best to stay in-step with Jesus in the great adventure of running this business!  When this story was only beginning, she answered phone calls and returned emails from her kitchen table while her two small kids napped.  These days, she still (mostly) works from the kitchen table, but with the added blessing of doing this full-time and with an absolutely incredible team of people!

Angie enjoys making connections with folks in the community, speaking at MOPS groups and other venues, and most importantly, can't wait to see what God has in store for the future of Cornerstone.  If there's ever any question as to if Cornerstone as a whole or any of our individual counselors could be a good resource for you, your church, your organization or your school, Angie would love to talk with you more!

our office staff

Cassidie Orr

Ongoing Care Coordinator

Cassidie and her husband, Robert, live in Tyler, Texas.

Cassidie has her bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University in Educational Studies, and has a passion for serving kids and teaching them about God’s love.

Before joining the Cornerstone team back in 2021, she worked as a preschool teacher at a Christian school for close to 5 years.

In her free time, Cassidie loves helping people, spending time with family, and being goofy with her friends.

She enjoys reading Karen Kingsbury books, playing games of all kinds with friends and family, and volunteering for the children’s ministry at her church.

dianne Foster

Intake Care Coordinator, Custody Case Coordinator

Dianne is originally from the Caribbean and comes to us with 32 years of experience as a general pediatrician and academician. Her career path to date has centered on providing compassionate care and being the hands and feet of Jesus in the workplace. Her passions are Jesus, her family, friends, worship, prayer, and intercession. She enjoys seeing lives changed through the love of Christ and rejoices when people are walking in the fullness of all they were created to be.

She is an avid Star Trek and sci-fi fan who longs to be on one of those ships hurtling through space. Here on earth, she has traveled to 15 countries and 40 states (and counting) and loves learning about and experiencing new cultures. She enjoys reading on all topics and watching videos on tiny home living, homesteading, and gardening - which she will never do because she doesn’t like dirt or worms.

dabria tomlin

Executive Assistant

Dabria and her husband, Eric, live in Fort Collins, CO with their son and pup. Prior to joining the team at Cornerstone, she worked in the fast-paced world of education at a Colorado-based classical charter school as an executive assistant. Now, she has the opportunity to work at home and raise her son while her husband continues to pursue a career in education as a grammar school teacher.

In her free time, Dabria enjoys hosting dinners, baking, discussing theology and philosophy, and planning out her next move down to the most minute detail whether it be a DIY project, a new recipe, or rearranging the furniture (again). Recently, she and her husband decided that camping was the next big thing for them and have spent a few months gathering all they need to do cross-country campings trips as a family.

Judith Bonnaig Client Care Coordinator at Cornerstone Christian Counseling in Florida

Emily Frink

Emily and her husband, Daniel, live in Littleton, Colorado with their golden retriever pup, Sherlock. Emily graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies.

Before joining the Cornerstone team, she primarily worked in the adoption field as a birth parent counselor and case manager.

Emily has a passion for serving the Lord and a heart for loving people.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, baking, watching movies, and camping.

As a Colorado native, Emily loves spending time outdoors, especially during the fall (her favorite season).

Judith Bonnaig Client Care Coordinator at Cornerstone Christian Counseling in Florida

Jason Klika

Does his last name sound familiar? It should! Jason is married to the famous Jess, and is joining us from the sunny beaches of Florida. He wishes my office was on a beach, but gets worried about all that sand getting in his laptop...

Jason loves long walks on the beach with his famous wife, Jess (see above). He enjoys the Beach Boys, gator sightings in his neighborhood, and eating a cuban on weekend trips to Miami. He is an expert handy man, and after assembling all of this office's furniture, he is now fluent in Ikea Swedish. If Jason isn't at Disney World, you can find him volunteering at the local orange grove.

Jason helped to help launch the Florida office, and currently ensures everything runs smoothly. Welcome to the Florida team, Jason!

Kezia Manchester Cornerstone Christian Counseling

Kezia Manchester

Intake Care Coordinator

Kezia is originally from California but now calls Colorado home! She loves interior design and can be found constantly rearranging her condo to create a cozy space for her husband, Jesse, and her puppy Scout.  She can also be found with a camera in hand, chasing after her nieces and nephews, attempting to capture those magical moments.

She is always down to chat about the Enneagram, Gilmore Girls, and houseplants over an iced coffee.

Mental health holds such a special place in her heart, and she is honored to use her degree in Sociology and Social Work to better serve her community.

Krista Jessee

Krista Jessee

Intake Care Team Manager

Krista is originally from California and grew up as a missionary kid in Mexico City and Costa Rica.

She has always loved traveling and getting to know other cultures and customs. Krista and her husband, Matt live in Parker CO with their amazing 7-year-old son, Eli.

Before joining the Cornerstone team, she worked in Connections at a local church and has worked in ministry-related jobs for many years.

She is passionate about Jesus and prayer. Her favorite season is Fall and her all-time favorite drink is iced coffee in all seasons. Her heart longs for people to know Jesus and experience freedom.

our office staff

Lance Myers

Director of Marketing & Sales

Lance lives in Littleton with his wife, son, and twin girls, so needless to say, he's an expert multitasker. He loves playing guitar, nerding out with history or space documentaries, taking the family camper out for a weekend, and using writing to express his creativity.

He's always dreamed of finding a way to use his own mental health journey to somehow help others in similar seasons of life. Through constant prayer and self-reflection, he found Cornerstone Christian Counseling and knew it was meant to be.

Lance brings a unique mix of marketing acumen, personal mental health experience, leadership, and the overwhelming desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Lauren Still Cornerstone Christian Counseling

Lauren Still

Ongoing Care Coordinator

Lauren is originally from Atlanta and has lived in Denver for 7 years. She graduated from Auburn University with a Human Development and Family Studies degree and moved to Colorado to help plant a church.

After many years working in healthcare, she is excited to follow her passion for mental health to help clients learn, heal, and grow. It is an answer to prayer to work somewhere that allows her to see how God can use counseling to heal others, just as she has experienced herself.

She loves to hike, travel, ski, run, read, camp, and could stare at the mountains all day long. She is always down to go for an ice cream or coffee run, watch The Parent Trap, and would be fine listening to only Taylor Swift for the rest of her life.

Judith Bonnaig Client Care Coordinator at Cornerstone Christian Counseling in Florida

Laura Downey

Laura is a farm girl from Iowa, who has been living in Colorado since 2008. She is married to her husband Brent, and together they have three boys, one girl, and a miniature schnauzer. She loved starting her motherhood journey as a #boymom, fully embracing all the messy goodness of boys! However, when God blessed her family with a baby girl, she was thrilled to welcome some purples, pinks, and bows into the mix!

Laura is passionate about Jesus, missions, baking, jewelry, and living a simple yet purposeful life.

Laura has worked in human resources since 2008, previously working at a national Christian youth ministry organization. She loves using her gifts in administration and knowledge of human resources to serve as Cornerstone’s HR Specialist.

Leah Griggs Cornerstone Christian Counseling headshot

Leah Griggs

Intake Care Coordinator

Leah is originally from Maryland and has lived in Colorado for 32 years. She and her son love the outdoors and feel privileged to live in such a beautiful state.

Leah's favorite things about Colorado are the great weather, the breathtaking mountains, and the sunny days.

Leah comes to Cornerstone as someone who has experienced first hand the importance of living a Christ-centered life. She is excited to offer her skills in (and love for) helping others.

Megan Katzer

Director of Client Engagement

Megan loves Jesus, and feels closest to God's presence in or around the mountains. She fully believes in the healing work that can take place in the counseling room, and is grateful to work with such a gifted team at Cornerstone.

Megan's favorite hobbies include: over analyzing a menu and still not knowing what she wants to order when she gets to the restaurant, avoiding the Texas heat, and traveling to new places. She loves bringing people joy through her baking, sense of humor, or moments of intentional connection. She moved from Denver to Austin in 2018 with her pup, Turkey, to help plant a church. But she will always consider Colorado home and smother all the things in green chili.

Melissa Cornerstone Christian Counseling

Melissa Fritzsche

Locations Specialist

Melissa and her husband, Chris, have made Colorado their home since 2007. They live in and love the community of Castle Rock, but escape to the beach as much as possible. Together they are currently braving the high school years with their two amazing teenage sons.

Melissa has a passion for serving others and a heart for those in need of a little TLC. She worked as a hospice R.N. before having her children and has always tried to find a way to stay connected to the healthcare field.

You’ll often find her curled up with a soft blanket, a good book, and at least one dog on her lap. She volunteers with a local dog rescue and finds great joy in fostering dogs rescued from puppy mills. Finally, she has a brand new passport on its way and big dreams in her head.

nancy sandoval

billing specialist

Nancy wants to live in a world full of DIY projects, Pinterest successes, and power tools. If you can envision it, she can build it!  Prior to joining the team at Cornerstone, Nancy owned a small medical transcription business. She brought her working knowledge of organization and skilled attention to detail to help people in their journey toward growth and healing. When she’s not in the garage working on the next home improvement project, Nancy enjoys spending time with her husband Mark, and their 4 adult children and four sweet grandchildren. She loves to travel, entertain on her patio, and cozy up to a good mystery, historical, or romance novel!
