ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Cornerstone functions as a blend between private and group practice. Our trained and caring admin team is built to handle all the back-end client care so we can help our counselors do what they do best: meet with clients.
The office team offers administrative support to all of our counselors including reception coverage, scheduling, marketing, billing, and so much more!
CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW & CLINICAL EXCELLENCE
CHRISTIAN COUNSELING CAREERS
At Cornerstone Christian Counseling, we hold a Christian worldview. With that said, we welcome all clients–Christian, non-Christian or non-religious–we exist to respect, honor, and care for our clients with non-judgmental compassion and grace.
And we also strive for clinical excellence. We believe that God has given us the ability to study and implement clinical practices that have been proven to be effective in helping people heal, grow and thrive. All of our therapists have at least a Masters-level education in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or other related fields, and all of us continually engage in post-graduate trainings to be the best therapists we can be.
In short, the therapists at Cornerstone strive to combine a Christian Worldview with Clinical Excellence. And we love to help new counselors employ the gifts God has given them to serve his people!

Why should I be an intern at Cornerstone?
We will let our former interns answer that one for you:
“Being an intern at Cornerstone has been an amazing opportunity to grow in clinical knowledge, see a wide variety of clients, and integrate Christian principles. Everyone on the Cornerstone team, from the amazing office staff to the stellar clinicians, does a great job of making interns feel included, involved, and valued. It is such a unique experience to feel the right balance of being supported by a team and having the independence to come into your own as a counselor.”
“Being an intern with Cornerstone has brought so much vibrance to my life. Cornerstone is a highly interactive internship that includes weekly supervision, professional development opportunities, networking opportunities, and support from the many departments within the company. They truly are an all-in-one internship and have made me feel so supported throughout my experience! I feel so blessed to be a part of this incredible team that puts so much effort and time into their interns!”
And we like it here, too!
Can I have another job outside of Cornerstone Internship?
Sure! As long as you’re still available for a few hours one evening or Saturday to work with clients. Our goal is to be there for our clients, which is always after work and school hours! Even full-time staff at Cornerstone sets aside time to be available to clients after typical work hours.
At the beginning of your internship, we will set your schedule together, choosing which hours work best for you. Practicum students should plan for 8 hours of availability per week. Internship students should plan for 15 hours of availability per week.
One more thing – All our staff members attend weekly group supervision every Wednesday morning, where we offer training, case consultation, and connection. So you would need to be able to make that time work! You will also meet weekly with your intern supervisor for one-on-one consultation time.
We’ve had interns work with us while maintaining another part-time job without any issues. However, full-time work on top of internships has been historically difficult for our interns, so we recommend balancing your schedule before you jump into seeing clients, at any internship site!
I want to apply, what are you looking for in an intern?
Great question! Our team is filled with folks who are growth-minded, who are continually refining their clinical skills and prayerfully honing their God-given gifts. We love to laugh, and we place a huge priority on community and connection. We do our best to live out our values and are always learning ways to be better. We truly care for our clients and go the extra mile to make sure they feel cared for and seen.
Sound like you? Then we’d love to connect! We are always looking for interns who are driven, creative, honest, and passionate about seeing people heal, grow, and thrive.
