I know I can’t give you a full picture of myself in just a few words—as well as give you ease with my training and experience—but I’m happy to give you a small glimpse of who I am and what the therapeutic process might look like with me.

My passions in life are family, relationships, and being an encouragement to people in their walk with God, as others have been in mine.

I spent the first half of my life in New Zealand enjoying adventures in the woods and at the beach with friends and family. In time, life got complicated. My parents got a divorce, and within ten years of that, both of my parents passed away. Though life can be painful, through God’s relentless love towards me, I have realized that all of life–both the joys and pains–have paved the way for me to gain resilience, knowledge, and the ability to process life in ways that have helped me help others.

Qualifications and Experience

During the second half of my life, I moved to the U.S. to study counseling. While studying, I met my amazing wife (now of 20 years) who, at that time, invited me on a journey of travel, challenge, & fun to foreign lands.  I learned a foreign language, and we did extensive volunteer work, pastored at a seminary, counseled many, trained counselors, ran marriage seminars, had three amazing kids, and got the chance to share life with people from various cultures and beliefs.

Over the past decade back in the U.S., I have worked to support adults with dependencies and complex physical, mental health, and emotional needs. I also currently work as a school-based therapist, engaging in individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions in response to various disorders and traumas with a variety of different age groups, ranging from five-year-olds to adults.

My desire is to engage with you in the midst of your story, sharing the emotions of your journey & providing you with helpful life skills.

Personal Life and Interests

In my spare time, I enjoy life’s adventures on the Front Range and in the beautiful Colorado mountains.

Along with a passion for my family, and walking alongside people through their own life journeys, here and abroad, I enjoy biking, hiking, drinking coffee, watching movies, and engaging in meaningful conversations.
