Philosophy and Therapeutic Approach

I am so glad that you are here! Therapy is an invitation to engage life courageously and wholeheartedly. There are times when life’s challenges exceed what we can manage on our own. Healing comes when we bravely share the parts of our story we would rather leave untold. Through the compassionate presence of another, you can process your experiences without judgment in a safe, supportive space.

Together, we will untangle the areas of your life that are hindering your ability to show up the way you want to. As we process what you believe, we will also discuss how this affects your body, heart, and soul. We are complex beings, and often the pain we experience affects many facets of our lives. Everything you are navigating matters, and it is an honor to walk with you on your therapeutic journey.

There is always hope. The trauma, shame, and fear we experience do not need to have the final word in our stories, or the stories of our families. I strongly believe in the resilience God has built into every single one of us.

What to Expect in Therapy

During our time together, you can expect honest, collaborative care. We will build a foundation of trust so that we can explore the deeper areas of your life in a place that feels safe to you. Having experienced healing personally, you can expect me to bring genuine empathy along with evidence-based techniques and clinical skills to help us take tangible steps toward lasting change.

Therapy is a journey that offers you an opportunity to become the person you were uniquely created to be. Like any good story, you can expect the process to engage you emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. The conflicts and tensions you courageously face in this process will often be the very things that drive you forward. It’s in these places of challenge that we are invited into the transformative work of God. As you invest in the therapeutic process, you will begin to see the world differently and experience meaningful change in your life.

Personal Qualifications and Experience

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado Christian University.

My experience comes from years of serving others in several helping roles, including as a certified personal trainer, Nutrition Therapy Practitioner, and Women’s Director at my local church. Through these roles, I have walked alongside individuals facing a variety of personal, relational, and family challenges. These experiences have deepened my compassion for others and strengthened my desire to support clients through the counseling process.

These experiences have also taught me that the suffering of one person affects many, and that the healing of one individual can impact generations. I am passionate about counseling that supports the mind, body, heart, and soul, and I look forward to working with individuals, couples, and families to pursue healing and growth together.

Personal Interests

I love dating my husband, who I’ve been married to for almost 15 years! He is my favorite adventure companion, and together we enjoy hiking, rock climbing, camping, and recreating our favorite Thai dishes.

We have two wildly creative kids who keep us laughing and learning. My son is currently introducing me to Tolkien’s many works and the art of writing good fiction. My daughter is teaching me how to play volleyball and bake, two things I have never had a knack for, but love doing with her. We love Jesus and imperfectly seek to honor Him with our lives.

I also enjoy writing, reading, music, and moving my body in whatever form sounds fun that day. I will never turn down a warm cup of coffee or an opportunity to get lost in a meaningful conversation with a friend.
