“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. . . Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.” Psalm 139:1, 4
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
Philosophy and Therapeutic Approach
What a gift to hear that the Lord knows us completely and His love remains relentless! I believe that through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, your braveness and commitment to show up, growth, healing, and change are possible.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and person-centered therapy — tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and goals.
My philosophy centers on collaboration where I aim to partner with you as we work together to find patterns, build insight, and develop practical tools for creating lasting change in your life.
What to Expect in Therapy
You can expect a warm, respectful, and supportive environment where your voice is heard and valued. Our sessions will be focused on your goals and paced according to your comfort level.
In the early stages, we will get to know one another, explore what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying areas you would like to work on. As your journey progresses, we will address challenges, build resilience, and develop new ways of thinking and coping. I strive to make each session a safe, empowering experience where growth and progress feel achievable.
Personal Qualifications and Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma work and Prepare/Enrich for premarital and marital counseling. Additionally, my therapeutic work has a solid foundation in health and wellness, and I am currently pursuing additional certification to become a Board-Certified Holistic Nutritionist. This integrative focus allows me to support you not just emotionally and mentally, but also in understanding the mind-gut connection and how overall wellness plays a role in healing. I am passionate about helping you navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relational issues with a whole-person approach.
I am also currently enrolled in Synergetic Play Therapy training to deepen my work with children. This specialized approach helps me support children in regulating their nervous systems, developing interoceptive awareness (body awareness), and integrating difficult emotional experiences. The training emphasizes the neuroscience of safety and healing, teaching how to set boundaries that encourage brain integration and use therapeutic responses that activate multiple areas of the brain for lasting change. I work closely with caregivers to help them understand that all behaviors, especially the challenging ones, are meaningful and rooted in deeper needs. My goal is to create collaborative, culturally sensitive relationships with both children and their families, using authenticity, mindfulness, and connection as the foundation for transformation.
Personal Interests
When I’m not in the therapy office, I love being outdoors and staying active through mountain biking, hiking, and other outdoor sports. I treasure time with my family and deeply value my faith and community.
I enjoy being part of a weekly Bible study with my fellow mom friends, where we support one another and grow together spiritually. I find great peace and joy in basking in the beautiful life God has so graciously given me, and I strive to carry that gratitude and presence into my work and relationships every day.
