Philosophy and Therapeutic Approach

I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth begin, allowing you room to finally exhale. This tailored space serves the mother navigating the complexities of postpartum, grief, or the demands of daily life; the woman overcoming barriers to optimal health and wellness; and the parent seeking specialized support for their child or teen. My approach is truly holistic: I look beyond surface symptoms to explore how your relationships, self-nourishment practices, and environment impact your ability to thrive. I draw from evidence-based practices tailored just for you—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Somatic Awareness for immediate relief from anxiety and burnout, and Synergetic Play Therapy to guide children and adolescents toward building emotional resilience and regulation. Our work is a deeply collaborative partnership; for those who desire it, my philosophy welcomes the Holy Spirit as we partner to find patterns, build lasting insight, and implement actionable solutions that foster alignment, peace, and sustainable change in your life and family.

What to Expect in Therapy

Let’s be honest: starting therapy can sometimes feel a bit like a blind date—awkward, but hopefully life-changing. What you can always count on here is a warm, nonjudgmental space where your voice is not only heard but truly valued. This time is just for you. Our sessions are laser-focused on your personal goals and always paced to your comfort level; there’s no rushing a good breakthrough! In the early stages, we’ll take a nice, deep dive (don’t worry, the water is warm!) to explore what brought you in and map out the road ahead. As we progress, we’ll move beyond simply understanding challenges to actively building the resilience and new coping skills you need. My ultimate goal is for every session to feel empowering—a safe pit stop where growth is the main event and realizing your own progress feels truly achievable.

Personal Qualifications and Experience

As a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I bring a wealth of specific tools to our work, ensuring you’re not getting a one-size-fits-all approach. Here’s how my training directly benefits you:

  • For Trauma and Deep Healing: My specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) means we can effectively address past trauma, chronic stress, and anxiety that keeps you feeling stuck. This isn’t just talk therapy; it’s a proven method for helping the brain process difficult memories so they no longer disrupt your daily life.
  • For Mind, Body, and Relationships: I am passionate about the whole-person approach. My additional certification in Prepare/Enrich allows me to bring clear direction to couples seeking premarital or marital counseling. Furthermore, I am pursuing certification as a Board-Certified Holistic Nutritionist. This integrative focus allows me to support you in understanding the critical mind-gut connection and how optimizing your total wellness plays a crucial role in reducing anxiety, improving mood, and stabilizing energy. We work on your life holistically, not just your symptoms.
  • For Kids, Teens, and Parents: I am dedicated to specialized child support through my training in Synergetic Play Therapy. This means I can help children and adolescents, who don’t always have the words, learn to regulate their nervous systems and process big emotions through play. I provide concrete support to caregivers, helping you decode your child’s challenging behaviors and respond in ways that foster lasting brain integration, safety, and healthy family connection.

I am committed to a collaborative, culturally sensitive relationship built on authenticity, mindfulness, and a deep connection to your unique needs.

A Bit About Me

My passion for patience, trusting the process, and finding a healthy balance is best symbolized by my love for nutrition and wellness. It is in my roots as a Colorado native and hippy dippy granola gal! Movement is truly balm for my soul—whether I’m channeling competitive energy on the pickleball court (yes, I get intense) or finding deep peace on a local hike with my family and bird hunting dog. I also prioritize restorative time outdoors to practice presence in God’s amazing creation. And finally, my idea of perfect self-care is a simple connection: a classic movie night watching something like Singing in the Rain with my family and a serious commitment to a gallon of Josh & Johns ice cream. Because after all the work, we all need space for intentional joy and well-deserved indulgence.
