“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”  — 2 Timothy 1:7

“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”  — Matthew 11:28

“Do not be anxious about anything… and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds” (Philippians 4:6–7).

Philosophy and Therapeutic Approach

It is one thing to read a scripture about peace, but it is another thing entirely to actually feel that peace in your everyday life when everything around you feels overwhelming. You might be carrying relational struggles, trauma, anxiety, or deep questions about your faith and identity. In our work together, the goal is to move biblical truths from just concepts in your head into something you genuinely experience in your day-to-day reality.

Real, lasting change happens inside a trusting therapeutic relationship — one where you are completely understood rather than judged. Your story is unique, and your journey within therapy should be too. I will focus on helping you understand your relationships, your inner world, and your story more clearly using a custom approach tailored to you, including modalities like Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and narrative therapy.

Your mind, body, and spirit are fundamentally connected, and all of you is welcome in this space. We can incorporate somatic tools like breathing techniques to help calm your nervous system — interestingly, the Hebrew word for soul, nephesh, is closely tied to the word for breath. Wherever you are in your faith journey, you will be met with deep respect, dignity, and care.

What to Expect in Therapy

Taking the first step to share your story with a counselor can feel intimidating. You can expect a safe, consistent environment where you can slow down and feel truly heard. In our first few sessions, we will take the time to process where you are now and where you want to be, as well as what you hope to achieve through therapy.

If you are coming in as an individual, we will walk at an intentional, compassionate pace to work through anxiety, life transitions, or past trauma. For couples looking to navigate a relationship that feels strained, distant, or broken, I will provide a balanced space where you both have a voice and feel heard. You and your partner will have the opportunity to understand each other more clearly, break down painful communication loops, rebuild trust, and move toward the deep connection and intimacy you desire.

You can heal and thrive no matter what has happened, and you don’t have to have it all figured out before you reach out — we will take it one practical step at a time.

Personal Qualifications and Experience

I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University, and I am now a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate. I also hold a Master of Theology in Applied Theology from the University of Balamand and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Texas.

Before transitioning into counseling, I spent more than a decade working as a clinical and pediatric dietitian, which gives me insight into how our physical well-being impacts our emotional life. My clinical training also includes serving as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with the U.S. Army, where I focused extensively on helping couples and individuals navigate complex trauma.

I bring a dedicated background in pastoral care, having served as the Director of Women’s Ministry at Fellowship Bible Church and provided ongoing staff care for an international ministry. If you are a pastor, ministry leader, or ministry couple, you will find someone who intimately understands that world — here, you have a safe place where you don’t have to carry your burdens alone.

Personal Interests

Outside the counseling room, I love spending quality time with my husband of more than 35 years. We are big tennis fans, so you can often find us catching a match together. I also love experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and heading out to hunt for unique, thrifted treasures.
