Philosophy and Therapeutic Approach
Are you struggling silently while trying to convince everyone around you that you are “fine”? So many of us carry things behind closed doors without ever feeling understood. Therapy is a space where you no longer feel like you have to carry those things alone.
Has life left you feeling stuck in patterns, overwhelmed by your thoughts, and disconnected from yourself? I will help you explore your inner narratives to better understand yourself and begin moving toward freedom and hope, all from a grounded foundation of trust.
I deeply value authenticity in the counseling room. Therapy doesn’t have to feel cold or intimidating. Our sessions will celebrate your human experience — a place to laugh, cry, process, and fully show up as yourself without fear of judgment. I understand how isolating emotional struggles can feel, so my goal is for you to leave sessions feeling understood and empowered, knowing that healing is possible, and you are not alone in the process.
What to Expect in Therapy
Beginning a therapeutic journey can be difficult, especially if you are used to being the “strong one” — the achiever, the helper, the person everyone assumes is doing okay. Vulnerability can feel uncomfortable at first; opening up about painful experiences and overwhelming emotions is not easy. However, I will create a safe, collaborative environment where you feel genuinely supported.
Together, we will work to understand your experiences, relationships, and behavioral patterns while building practical tools for lasting change. Some days may consist of processing difficult emotions, while others may involve reflection, encouragement, and celebrating the progress you have made along the way.
Personal Qualifications and Experience
My passion for counseling has been shaped by both my personal experiences and the relationships I have built throughout my life. As someone who immigrated to the United States at a young age and experienced significant life transitions early in life, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate change, identity, grief, and emotional struggles while trying to show up for daily life. Walking through those experiences has given me a deep compassion for individuals who may feel stuck or exhausted from silently carrying so much on their own.
Dedicated to supporting individuals and couples, I am currently working toward my master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. I find deep fulfillment in helping women, adolescents, and young adults/college students as they navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, and grief. I am also passionate about helping clients work through perfectionism, relational difficulties, and life transitions.
Beyond academics, my focus is centered around community: mentoring, supporting others through difficult seasons, traveling to and connecting with different cultures, and simply showing up for the people in my life.
Personal Interests
Outside of the counseling room, I love anything that brings people together and creates meaningful connection. Whether hosting friends and family, trying a new coffee shop, baking, working out, hiking, or planning my next creative project, I truly find joy in creating experiences that make others feel welcome and ready to have fun!
I also love creativity in all forms and especially enjoy graphic design, embroidery, storytelling, and music. I think some of the best moments in life are often simple ones: deep conversations, laughter around the table, spontaneous adventures, and feeling fully present with the people you love most.
I am married to my amazing husband, Coltan, who is my favorite person and best friend! We love traveling, gardening, exploring, quality time with friends and family, and dreaming about future adventures.
