“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” – Carl Rogers

Philosophy and Therapeutic Approach

I believe every person is wonderfully different, and as a therapist, it’s my job to offer you support and strategies that are uniquely tailored to your needs. I am trauma-informed and am passionate about working with you through whatever difficulties have impacted your life. Whether you’re a teen or adult looking for support for anxiety, shame, fear, pain, grief, depression, or stress, I am dedicated to partnering with you as you gain healing insight into your story.

This insight into your story leads to self-acceptance, healing, and overall, more fulfilling lives. I am a trained Brainspotting practitioner and enjoy in-depth trauma work. I know the therapeutic journey can be painful, but I believe it is equally empowering.

What to Expect in Therapy

I’ve heard people ask, “Why go to therapy when I can just talk to a friend?” The truth is, therapists can offer you something that talking to friends can’t. Therapy creates a sacred space between you and the counselor, with someone who is trained and 100% focused on your well-being. This allows you to not only experience more support, but also feel seen, heard, known, and accepted in a caring environment.

Not only that, but therapists are highly trained professionals. They can offer skills, insight, education, and evidence-based strategies that are proven to make a positive difference. Brainspotting is a client-led therapeutic technique that helps the brain and body make healing connections to rewire and heal from trauma.

In our sessions, I will offer a non-judgemental and open presence as we dive into your story. My goal is for you to feel comfortable to process through any deep emotions or experiences that have been weighing on you and provide you with the trained support that you need.

Personal Qualifications and Experience

I am completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Denver Seminary and will graduate in December of 2021. I am trained in Brainspotting and other trauma-informed modalities and am a lifelong learner.

I am an absolute nerd when it comes to learning about the brain and the holistic human experience. Life is all about relationships and I want to dedicate my life to nurturing the human spirit. I have done the hard work of therapy in my own life and would love to walk alongside you in your therapeutic journey. I studied theology in my undergraduate program, so I love conversations about theology and faith.

Personal Interests

I love laughing and enjoy spending time with friends and family. In my free time, I love watching “The Office,” going on walks and listening to audiobooks.

I love Jesus and am an active member of my church. I am married to my best friend, Justin, who is an accountant in Denver. We have an adorable orange kitty named Angela (a testimony of me loving “The Office”). I find great joy in life and am excited to work with you!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

“To love means to be actively concerned for the life and growth of another.” – Irvin Yalom
